Scott E. Powell Associate

Scott engages in a diverse litigation practice to serve clients primarily in the insurance and healthcare industries.  His experience includes: insurance defense and coverage disputes, medical negligence claims, long-term care disputes, commercial litigation, and employment disputes. 

Prior to joining Blackburn, Domene & Burchett, Scott practiced at another well-respected Louisville defense firm.

While in law school, Scott and his teammate were moot court National Champions of the ABA Law Student Negotiation Competition National Finals, and represented the United States in international competition.  In addition, he served as an intern in the U.S. Department of Commerce’s London Embassy office where he helped American businesses comply with U.K. and E.U. environmental regulations.
